Joint Arthroplasty: Clinical & Radiographic Outcome

Joint Arthroplasty: Clinical & Radiographic Outcome

Donate to this area of research

The JVL research center has a longstanding heritage of collaborating with orthopaedic surgeons in addressing questions related to joint replacement implant design and biomechanics, using clinical and radiographic outcome studies to compliment or enhance biomechanical models.

Notable Studies

  • What is the optimum cement thickness for a cemented femoral stem?

  • How are implant fixation interfaces influenced by a combination of stem geometry, stiffness, and wear characteristics?

  • How does implant position affect stresses at the interfaces and clinical outcome?
